Born in Freiburg im Breisgau and raised in a humanitarian boarding school of a Roman-Catholic convent, Joe Wehrle started his professional life in the early 1990s.
Based on the topic of his thesis and diploma – acquired at the University of Mannheim in 1992 – he developed and implemented a global communications concept during his appointment with the Schenker Logistics Group. After that he created brand and image campaigns for industrial companies in Germany and Switzerland. In the 2000s he developed and managed a worldwide branding concept, appointed by the Endress + Hauser Group in Switzerland.
In 2004 he became the first and only foreigner to work in the state-owned, close-to-government HR service provider China Star Corporation in Shanghai. In this role he established Sino-western business relations and introduced a more market-driven approach for candidate selection in China.
In 2006 he set up his own company: w+p in Shanghai. Mr. Wehrle holds two degrees in Business Management. He is a strong believer in the importance of true potential and real determination of a candidate.

Dr. Lars Büttner is Professor of Finance and Controlling at Bremen University of Applied Sciences. Previously, he worked internationally for around 20 years as an executive and Managing Director (including CFO, Managing Director, Chairman of the Board) in various industries (automotive and aerospace supply industry, mechanical and plant engineering, industrial services, wholesale). Of these, he spent more than 13 years on site in China and the USA. His professional experience focuses, among other things, on company formation, restructuring/reorganization, strategic management and M&A.
Dr. Büttner studied at the universities of Duisburg (Diplom-Kaufmann), Münster (Executive MBA) and Bayreuth (Dr. rer. pol.) and conducted research in particular on the topic of corporate acquisitions/due diligence in China.
